In most cases the network version of TimeClock&SignOut is not needed this one will work if your Macintosh computers are already networked using System 7.0 or higher.
1. Put the TimeClock&SignOut folder on your server.
2. Duplicate the TimeClock&SignOut program.
3. Make an alias of the TimeClock&SignOut Copy and put it in the Apple Menu Items folder on the client computer.
At this point the client computer can just go to the Apple menu and select TimeClock&SignOut and it will open and can be read or changed. Other open copies of the program will not have their screen updated with the new information until the screen is redrawn (by going to "Inactive" and back). There are very few situations where this is a problem since most people will just go in, change their status and go out of the program. The receptionist or telephone operator is generally the only person that needs a constantly updated screen but even there we find that they are also working on other things and go back and forth between the Inactive window often enough for this not to be a problem.
